Tour Itinerary
|
|
| Day 01 |
Arrival in Kunming
Upon your arrival, our guide will
pick you up at the airport and transfer to your hotel.
Free for rest of the day. |

| Day 02 |
Kunming - Lijiang
(Breakfast + Lunch)
Take morning flight to Lijiang.
Visit the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, the Black Dragon
Pool and Lijiang Ancient Town.
Jade
Dragon Snow Mountain: The much famed mountain is
situated some 15 km. north of Lijiang County, with thirteen
peaks resembling jade pillars holding the sky, it stands
majestically on the east side of the Jinshajiang River.
The main peak, Mount Fan (Shanzifeng), is 5,596 m. above
sea level, and is annually snowcapped.
Black
Dragon Pool: As the water is as green and lucid
as jade, the pond is also entitled "Yuquan" or Jade
Fountain. On the bank of the pond willows hang their
withes like silk thread. One can see arbours and pavilions
beside the pond, temples hidden in the trees and variegated
flowers found everywhere.
Lijiang
Ancient Town: The county town of Lijiang is also
called Dayanzhen, famous for its scientific architectural
layout. Crisscrossed by crystal-clear rivers and meandering
cobbled streets, it has a high research value and is
a treasure in the field of urban construction in China.

| Day 03 |
Lijiang - Tea-Horse
Guesthouse (Breakfast
+ Lunch)
Drive from Lijiang to Qiaotou Town
which takes 2.5 hours, start trekking in Tiger Leaping
Gorge. After 2 hours hiking, stop for lunch in a Naxi
Guesthouse. After lunch we walk up hill 2 hours along
the trail to get on the top, and then walk down 1.5 hours
to the Tea-horse Guesthouse. Overnight in Tea-horse Guesthouse.

| Day 04 |
Tea-Horse Guesthouse - Daju
(Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner)
After breakfast we walk along
the trail about 1.5 hour get to the Bendiwan village,
another half hour you will see a waterfall. Go down1.5
hours get to the road. Stop for lunch in the Tina's
Guesthouse. After lunch we drive 9 kilometres get to
the village, and then walk another 2 hours get to the
ferry. After crossing the Yangtze River, walk another
half hour get to Daju. Overnight in Daju Inn (public
shower and toilet).
On the way to Tiger Leaping Gorge
you will see many villages of Naxi minority people,
beautiful mountain with terraced fields full of mustard
flowers and other plants. The trail is naturally divided
into three sections. The first section, which is the
narrowest and uppermost section, is the mouth of the
fast flowing Yangtze River. In the midst of the river's
mouth is a large rock that is positioned at the gorge's
narrowest section - only 30 meters wide. An ancient
legend says that tiger used this rock as its stepping
stone so it could leap across from one side of the gorge
to the other, which is how the gorge got its name. As
the river enters the middle section, it drops another
100 meters and its flow rate increases to an amazing
speed. Here the thunderous rushing water slam into sharp,
large rocks and crash down into the river forming swirling
whirlpools.

| Day 05 |
Daju - Baoshan Stone
Town (Breakfast
+ Lunch + Dinner)
After breakfast we driver 100 kilometres,
pass Jade dragon Snow mountain, and then get to Guolu
Naxi village, 3.5 hours later we stop for lunch in the
village local restaurant. After lunch drive a little bit
further to the top, then 3 hours walking down to the Baoshan
Stone Town. Overnight in Mu-Family Guesthouse (Public
shower and toilet).
Baoshan
Stone Town: The Stone town is located about 110 km
north of Lijiang. It comprises of more than one hundred
families on the top of a gigantic rock. This town was
built in the late 13th century (Yuan Dynasty).

| Day 06 |
Baoshan Stone Town -
Liouqing (Breakfast
+ Lunch + Dinner)
2 hours hiking along the trail, pass some Naxi villages,
and get to the foot hill Prince Pass. Today we twice crawl
through hewed tunnels in the rock. The first one is about
60 meters while the second one is 90. Climb up to Prince
Pass (3 hours to get to the top), picnic lunch on the
way then another half hour get to the village Liouqing.
Overnight in a Naxi family home stay (public toilet, no
shower). |

| Day 07 |
Liouqing - Fenglian
(Breakfast
+ Lunch + Dinner)
In today's 6-7 hours hiking we'll pass through many Naxi
villages along the Yangtze River. Picnic lunch in a village.
Overnight in a Guesthouse (public shower and toilet).

| Day 08 |
Fenglian - Gouwao
(Breakfast
+ Lunch + Dinner)
After breakfast 1.5 hours walking down to get to the ferry,
take boat cross Yangtze River. Walking the other side
1 hour to the Mosuo village called Labo, stop lunch in
the village. After lunch we walk up 3 hours to Gouwao
village. Overnight in home stay Mosuo family. Not possible
for shower. |

| Day 09 |
Gouwao - Zhuangzi
(Breakfast
+ Lunch + Dinner)
4-5 hours hiking. Pass some Mosuo and Pumi village, picnic
lunch in the village. Afternoon get to Zhuangzi village.
Stay Pumi family guesthouse (public shower and toilet).

| Day 10 |
Zhuangzi - Yongning -
Lugu lake (Breakfast
+ Lunch + Dinner)
After breakfast we walk along the stream and beautiful
forest, you will see many plants and azaleas trees, rhododendron
in spring. 3 hours get to the pass, continue walk down
get to the Yi people village. Picnic lunch on the way.
After lunch, walk about 3 hours get to Yongning town.
Finish hiking, drive to Lugu Lake. Overnight in Mosuo
family hotel.
Lugu
Lake: A shimmering pearl which is the native place
of "The Females'Kingdom" composed of the Mosuo people,
a unique matriarchate well-preserved by the indigenous
Mosuo people, who are a branch of the Naxi ethnic minority
group. |

| Day 11 |
Lugu Lake - Lijiang
(Breakfast
+ Lunch + Dinner)
Early morning cruise on Lugu lake and visits Mosuo village.
Lunch in Ninglang - a town mostly lives Yi people. After
lunch 4 hours drive back to Lijiang. |

| Day 12 |
Lijiang - Kunming - Departure
(Breakfast
+ Lunch)
Take morning flight to Kunming.
Visit Bird & Flower market. Transfer to the airport
for your departure, end of service.

4. Quotation Inclusions:

The hotel is based on two persons
sharing one twin or double standard room with private facilities.

Daily American or Chinese breakfast
at the hotel, Chinese lunch or dinner in local Chinese restaurant
as specified in the itinerary.
3. Private Transport
Private transport between airport
or railway station and hotel and all the sights by air-conditioned
vehicle.
4. Transportation between Cities
The economic class air tickets of
the domestic flight or soft berth/seat train tickets between
cities as specified in the itinerary.
5. Entrance tickets
The main entrance tickets for the
sights mentioned.
6. Guiding service
Excellent tour Guiding. All normal
sightseeing tours in each city with English-speaking guide
and admission fees where applicable. Our guide will not
fly with you from one city to another. Upon your arrival
at each city, a new local guide and driver will pick you
up, be with you for local tour and see you off after you
finish the itinerary of each city.
7. Insurance

Insurance. We highly recommend that you purchase full coverage
travel insurance from you country of origin.

3. Single Room Supplement
Should a twin room is needed by a
single guest, supplement of the twin room will be charged.
What is single supplement?-
The hotel is based on double occupancy. If the visitor travels
alone or the number of the travelers is odd (such as 3,
5, 7...), who stays in one single room has to pay the single
room supplement. As the hotel is on double occupancy.

Expenses of a personal nature such
as laundry, drinks, fax, telephone call, optional activities
or sightseeing, overweight baggage charges or meals not
indicated, ect.
