Tour Itinerary

|
| Day 01 |
Arrival in Kunming
Upon your arrival, our guide will
pick you up at the airport and transfer to your hotel.
Visit the Bamboo Monastery.
Bamboo
Monastery: A Tang Dynasty (618-907 A.D.) temple known
for its Arhat statues, is the most famous of Kunming's
temples. The present Bamboo temple was rebuilt in the
Guangxu Era (1833 to 1890). |

| Day 02 |
Kunming - Lijiang (Breakfast
+ Lunch)
Take flight to Lijiang. Visit the
Black Dragon Pool in Yuquan Park and Lijiang Ancient Town.
Black
Dragon Pool: As the water is as green and lucid
as jade, the pond is also entitled "Yuquan" or Jade
Fountain. On the bank of the pond willows hang their
withes like silk thread. One can see arbours and pavilions
beside the pond, temples hidden in the trees and variegated
flowers found everywhere.
Lijiang
Ancient Town: The county town of Lijiang is also
called Dayanzhen, famous for its scientific architectural
layout. Crisscrossed by crystal-clear rivers and meandering
cobbled streets, it has a high research value and is
a treasure in the field of urban construction in China.

| Day 03 |
Lijiang - Walnut Grove
(Breakfast
+ Lunch)
Drive to Qiaotou Town, which is
the entrance to the Tiger-leaping Gorge. Start cycling
into the gorge, the road is not paved, the altitude is
about 2000 m above see level, you will bike about 12 km
to Walnut Grove which is a tranquil village in the middle
part of the gorge, overnight in Woody's House. |

| Day 04 |
Walnut Grove - Haba village
(Breakfast
+ Lunch)
Cycle about 20 km to Haba village,
out of the gorge, the road start going up. Stay at Snow
Sea Hostel. |

| Day 05 |
Haba village - Shangri-la
Cycle about 18 km to Sanba village,
visit the White Water Terrace, the sacred land of Naxi
Dongba Culture. Your driver will pick you up and drive
to Zhongdian, the gateway to Tibet. Zhongdian has only
been opened to tourists since 1992. Experience authentic
Tibetan culture in this mountainous region. Overnight
in Zhongdian(3300 m above sea level). |

| Day 06 |
Shangri-la - Wongshui
village
Today is a tough day, you will
ride about 105 km to Wongshui village which is 3700 m
above sea level, on the way, the road will go through
a mountain pass which is 4300 m high. But the scenery
is very beautiful. Now you know why this Tibetan area
is called Shangri-la. Stay with a Tibetan family. |

| Day 07 |
Shangri-la
Trek about 6 km into the Shangri-la
Canyon, sightseeing in the canyon, after having lunch
in a Tibetan family, trek out the canyon and drive back
to Zhongdian. |

| Day 08 |
Shangri-la
Cycle about 8 km to a beautiful
alpine lake - Napahai Lake, in the morning, the lake is
a nature reserve for birds, especially the black-necked
crane. After lunch, Visit Songzanlin Monastery, where
the Yellow Hat School of Tibetan Buddhism is practiced.
This large center, base for 1200 monks before the destruction
of Tibet in the 1950s, is experiencing a significant rebirth.
Overnight in Zhongdian. |

| Day 09 |
Shangri-la - Kunming
- Departure (Breakfast
+ Lunch)
Take morning flight to Kunming.
Tour to the Dragon Gate in Western Hills, then visit Bird
& Flower market. Transfer to the airport for your
departure, end of service.
Western
Hills: Located at the west bank of the Dianchi
Lake, is set in mountains well covered by evergreen
woods and filled with sweet songs by lovely birds, perfect
for hiking. Dragon Gate consists of the Sanqing Temple
Complex and the Dragon Gate Grotto Complex.

Please send us an email and provide
the information below so that we can quote precisely for
the above tour.
1. The number of adults and the number of children in your
party. If there are children under 12 years, they can enjoy
the preferential price.
2. Your approximate travel date.
3. The code of the tour that you are interested in. Each
tour has a code, you can find it above - at the top of the
page where the tour is.
4. Hotel choice for your tour (luxury or standard or comfortable
hotels).
5. If you would like us to tailor make a new tour for you
that is different from the above tour, please let us know
your requests.
4. Quotation Inclusions:
1. Hotel accommodation
The hotel is based on two persons
sharing one twin or double standard room with private facilities.
2. Meals
Daily American or Chinese breakfast
at the hotel, Chinese lunch or dinner in local Chinese restaurant
as specified in the itinerary.
3. Private Transport
Private transport between airport
or railway station and hotel and all the sights by air-conditioned
vehicle.
4. Transportation between Cities
The economic class air tickets of
the domestic flight or soft berth/seat train tickets between
cities as specified in the itinerary.
5. Entrance tickets
The main entrance tickets for the
sights mentioned.
6. Guiding service
Excellent tour Guiding. All normal
sightseeing tours in each city with English-speaking guide
and admission fees where applicable. Our guide will not
fly with you from one city to another. Upon your arrival
at each city, a new local guide and driver will pick you
up, be with you for local tour and see you off after you
finish the itinerary of each city.
7. Insurance
China Life Tourist Accident / Casualty
Insurance. We highly recommend that you purchase full coverage
travel insurance from you country of origin.
5. Quotation Exclusions:
1. Visa Fees
Charge of obtaining your visa to
enter China.
2. Charge of arrival and departure
The international or domestic air
/ train charge of arrival and departure.
3. Single Room Supplement
Should a twin room is needed by a
single guest, supplement of the twin room will be charged.
What is single supplement?-
The hotel is based on double occupancy. If the visitor travels
alone or the number of the travelers is odd (such as 3,
5, 7...), who stays in one single room has to pay the single
room supplement. As the hotel is on double occupancy.
4. Personal Expenses
Expenses of a personal nature such
as laundry, drinks, fax, telephone call, optional activities
or sightseeing, overweight baggage charges or meals not
indicated, ect.
5. Optional Programs
Optional programs which are not specified
in the above itinerary.
6. Tips to guides and drivers
Tips depending on the service of
your guide and driver, entirely voluntary.
