Tour Itinerary

| Day 01 |
Arrival in Kunming
Upon your arrival, our English
speaking guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer
to your hotel. Visit the Bamboo Monastery.
Bamboo
Monastery: A Tang Dynasty (618-907 A.D.) temple known
for its Arhat statues, is the most famous of Kunming's
temples. The present Bamboo temple was rebuilt in the
Guangxu Era (1833 to 1890). |

| Day 02 |
Kunming - Lijiang
(Breakfast
+ Lunch)
Take morning flight to Lijiang.
Visit the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, the Baisha Murals,
the Ancient Shuhe Village of Naxi people. In the afternoon,
visit the Black Dragon Pool and Lijiang Ancient Town.
Jade
Dragon Snow Mountain: The much famed mountain is
situated some 15 km. north of Lijiang County, with thirteen
peaks resembling jade pillars holding the sky, it stands
majestically on the east side of the Jinshajiang River.
The main peak, Mount Fan (Shanzifeng), is 5,596 m. above
sea level, and is annually snowcapped.
Baisha Murals: Lijiang's murals are works of the
Ming Dynasty, chiefly created from the Hongwu to the
Wanli eras. They were originally distributed among the
Juexiansi Temple and twelve others, nine of which fell
to ruins. The remaining four temples have altogether
55 murals, with a total area of 139.22 sq. m.
Naxi
people: Naxi literature is rich in form and content.
Besides works by Naxi scholars and writers, there is
a repository of oral folk literature.
Black
Dragon Pool: As the water is as green and lucid
as jade, the pond is also entitled "Yuquan" or Jade
Fountain. On the bank of the pond willows hang their
withes like silk thread. One can see arbours and pavilions
beside the pond, temples hidden in the trees and variegated
flowers found everywhere.
Lijiang
Ancient Town: The county town of Lijiang is also
called Dayanzhen, famous for its scientific architectural
layout. Crisscrossed by crystal-clear rivers and meandering
cobbled streets, it has a high research value and is
a treasure in the field of urban construction in China.

| Day 03 |
Lijiang - Tiger-leaping
Gorge - Walnut Grove
Drive to Qiaotou Town, which is
the entrance to the Tiger-leaping Gorge. Start cycling
into the gorge, the road is not paved, the altitude is
about 2000 m above see level, you will bike about 12 km
to Walnut Grove which is a tranquil village in the middle
part of the gorge, overnight in Woody's House.

| Day 04 |
Walnut Grove - Haba village
Cycle about 20 km to Haba village,
out of the gorge, the road start going up. Stay at Snow
Sea Hostel. |

| Day 05 |
Haba village - Sanba
village - Shangri-la
Cycle about 18 km to Sanba village,
visit the White
Water Terrace, the sacred land of Naxi Dongba Culture.
Your driver will pick you up and drive to Shangri-la (Zhongdian),
the gateway to Tibet. Shangri-la has only been opened
to tourists since 1992. Experience authentic Tibetan culture
in this mountainous region. Overnight in Shangri-la (3300
m above sea level). |

| Day 06 |
Shangri-la - Wongshui
village
Today is a tough day, you will
ride about 105 km to Wongshui village which is 3700 m
above sea level, on the way, the road will go through
a mountain pass which is 4300 m high. But the scenery
is very beautiful. Now you know why this Tibetan area
is called Shangri-la. Stay with a Tibetan family. |

| Day 07 |
Wongshui village - Shangri-la
Birang Canyon - Shangri-la
Trek about 6 km into the Shangri-la
Birang Canyon, sightseeing in the canyon, the scenery
here is very close to the Moon Canyan described in the
famous book "The Lost Horison". After having lunch in
a Tibetan family, trek out the canyon and drive back to
Shangri-la. |

| Day 08 |
Shangri-la
Cycle about 8 km to a beautiful
alpine lake, Napa
Lake, in the morning, the lake is a nature reserve
for birds, especially the black-necked crane. After lunch,
Visit Songzanlin
Monastery, where the Yellow Hat School of Tibetan
Buddhism is practiced. This large center, base for 1200
monks before the destruction of Tibet in the 1950s, is
experiencing a significant rebirth. Overnight in Zhongdian. |

| Day 09 |
Shangri-la - Kunming (Breakfast
+ Lunch)
Take morning flight to Kunming.
Tour to the Dragon Gate in Western Hills, then visit
Bird & Flower market. Transfer to the airport for
your departure, end of service.
Western
Hills: Located at the west bank of the Dianchi
Lake, is set in mountains well covered by evergreen
woods and filled with sweet songs by lovely birds, perfect
for hiking. Dragon Gate consists of the Sanqing Temple
Complex and the Dragon Gate Grotto Complex.

The hotel is based on two persons
sharing one twin or double standard room with private facilities.

or railway station and hotel and all the sights by air-conditioned
vehicle.

The economic class air tickets of
the domestic flight or soft berth/seat train tickets between
cities as specified in the itinerary.

6. Guiding service
Excellent tour Guiding. All normal
sightseeing tours in each city with English-speaking guide
and admission fees where applicable. Our guide will not
fly with you from one city to another. Upon your arrival
at each city, a new local guide and driver will pick you
up, be with you for local tour and see you off after you
finish the itinerary of each city.

What is single supplement?-
The hotel is based on double occupancy. If the visitor travels
alone or the number of the travelers is odd (such as 3,
5, 7...), who stays in one single room has to pay the single
room supplement. As the hotel is on double occupancy.
