Itinerary

Day 01 Arrival in Kunming
Upon your arrival, our guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Visit the Bamboo Monastery.

Bamboo Monastery: A Tang Dynasty (618-907 A.D.) temple known for its Arhat statues, is the most famous of Kunming's temples. The present Bamboo temple was rebuilt in the Guangxu Era (1833 to 1890).

Day 02 Kunming
Tour to the Dragon Gate in Western Hills, then visit the Grand-view Park. After Lunch, visit the
Golden Temple and the Pets & Flowers Market. (B+L)

Western Hills: Located at the west bank of the Dianchi Lake, is set in mountains well covered by evergreen woods and filled with sweet songs by lovely birds, perfect for hiking. Dragon Gate consists of the Sanqing Temple Complex and the Dragon Gate Grotto Complex.
Grand-view Park: A beautiful lake-side park that was completed in 1690 during the Qing Dynasty, known for its longest antithetical couplet in China.
Golden Temple: A Daoist temple, the main building of which is cast entirely in bronze weighing about 280 tons.

Day 03
Kunming - Stone Forest - Kaiyuan
After breakfast, drive 90 KM to Lunan county to visit the Stone Forest. Drive to Kaiyuan in the afternoon. (B+L+D)

Stone Forest: The most remarkable natural phenomena. It consists of innumerable bizarre shaped ancient limestone cliffs and peaks created by wind and water erosion some 270 million years ago.

Day 04 Kaiyuan - Jianshui
Drive to Jianshui, enjoy the beautiful scenery along the road. Visit the Great Swallow Cave by boat, the 2nd largest Confucius temple in China, the Chaoyang Gate of Ming Dynasty, the Twin Dragon Bridge, the Private Garden of the Zhu Family and the ruins of Yuan Dynastys pottery site. (B+L+D)

Great Swallow Cave: The cave is very big and bright, looking like a great hall and capable of holding a thousand people.
Twin Dragon Bridge: It is considered one of the beautifully built ancient bridge of the nation, and has been classified as an important cultural relic under provincial protection.
Family Zu's Garden: This grand complex is a typical local residence with distinctive features, it has a total area of 20,000 square meters and a floor space of 5,000 square meters, precious ancient architectures of hundred of years are perfectly preserved here.
Jianshui Confucius Temple: The biggest temple in Yunnan Province, built in the 22nd year of the Zhiyuan era of the Yuan Dynasty (1285).
Day 05 Jianshui - Yuanyang
Drive to Yuanyang, passing by Mt. Ailao, you will see impressive terraced fields, ferry cross the Red River, people here still using the traditional way cultivate the fields. (B+L+D)
Day 06 Yuanyang
Visit the magnificent terraced fields and villages of Hani and Yi People, explore the old city, the market, minority peoples here are always in their costumes. (B+L+D)
Day 07 Yuanyang - Jingping - Hekou
Drive to Hekou, you will see more great terraced fields and villages of minority people. Arrive at Hekou which is the border town between China and Vietnam. (B+L+D)
Day 08
Hekou - Laocai (Vietnam)
Transfer to the border, see you off. (B)

Quotation Inclusions:

1. Hotel accommodation
The hotel is based on two persons sharing one twin or double standard room with private facilities.
2. Meals
Daily American or Chinese breakfast at the hotel, Chinese lunch and dinner in local Chinese restaurant as specified in the itinerary. B - Breakfast, L - Lunch, D - Dinner.
3. Private Transport
Private transport between airport or railway station and hotel and all the sights by air-conditioned vehicle.
4. Transportation between Cities
The economic class air tickets of the domestic flight or soft berth/seat train tickets between cities as specified in the itinerary.
5. Entrance tickets
The main entrance tickets for the sights mentioned.
6. Guiding service
Excellent tour Guiding. All normal sightseeing tours in each city with English-speaking guide and admission fees where applicable. Our guide will not fly with you from one city to another. Upon your arrival at each city, a new local guide and driver will pick you up, be with you for local tour and see you off after you finish the itinerary of each city. The cruise shore excursion is in-group assigned by the cruise company.
7. Insurance
China Life Tourist Accident/Casualty Insurance. We highly recommend that you purchase full coverage travel insurance from you country of origin.

 
Quotation Exclusions:
1. Visa Fees
Charge of obtaining your visa to enter China.
2. Charge of arrival and departure
The international or domestic air / train charge of arrival and departure.
3. Single Room Supplement
Should a twin room is needed by a single guest, supplement of the twin room will be charged.
What is single supplement? - The hotel is based on double occupancy. If the visitor travels alone or the number of the travelers is odd (such as 3, 5, 7...), who stays in one single room has to pay the single room supplement. As the hotel is on double occupancy.
4. Personal Expenses
Expenses of a personal nature such as laundry, drinks, fax, telephone call, optional activities or sightseeing, overweight baggage charges or meals not indicated, ect.
5. Optional Programs
Optional programs which are not specified in the above itinerary.
6. Tips to guides and drivers
Suggested tips: USD12-14 to tour guide per day, USD 8-12 to driver per day, but depending on their service, it's up to you, entirely voluntary.
