Itinerary

Day 01 Arrival in Kunming
Upon your arrival, our English speaking guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Visit the Bamboo Monastery.

Bamboo Monastery: A Tang Dynasty (618-907 A.D.) temple known for its Arhat statues, is the most famous of Kunming's temples. The present Bamboo temple was rebuilt in the Guangxu Era (1833 to 1890).
Day 02 Kunming - Lijiang - Shangri-la
Take morning flight to Lijiang, our tour guide will meet you at airport and then drive to Haba Village. On the way, sightseeing in the famous Tiger-Leaping Gorge. Overnight at a guesthouse in Haba Village. (B+L)

Tiger Leaping Gorge: One of the longest, deepest and narrowest gorges in the world.
Day 03 Haba Snow Mountain
Trek up the Haba Snow Mountain for about 5 hours, then build your Base Camp at a suitable place about 3800 m above sea level. (B+L+D)

Haba Snow Mountain: Haba Snow Mountain boasts glaciers, lakes and waterfalls, and contains one of the best preserved nature reserves in Shangri-la.
Day 04 Haba Snow Mountain
In the morning, hike to the nearby lakes to enjoy the beautiful scenery. After picnic lunch, move up to a higher place (about 4200 m) to build your Camp 1. (B+L+D)
Day 05 Haba Snow Mountain
If the weather is good, try to reach the top of the snow mountain(5396 m). If the weather is not good, you also can try to get as high as possible. Overnight in Camp 1. (B+L+D)
Day 06 Haba Snow Mountain
Today, if the weather turns good, you have another chance to try to reach the top, then trek down to Base Camp and overnight there. (B+L+D)
Day 07 Haba Snow Mountain - Shangri-la - Lijiang
Trek down to Haba Village, then drive back through the Tiger-leaping Gorge to Lijiang. (B+L+D)
Day 08 Lijiang
Sightseeing in Lijiang old town which is a World Culture Heritage. Attend the Naxi Classical Music concert this evening. (B+L)

Naxi Classical Music: A crystallization of Taoist rite, Confucian ceremony, and the literary lyrics, poetic topics and musical tones of the Tang, Song and Yuan Dynasties, Naxi Ancient Music has developed its own unique style and traits - the result of 500 hundred years of evolution. The traditional Naxi classical music is regarded as a 'living fossil of Chinese music.'
Day 09 Lijiang - Kunming
Take morning flight to Kunming. Tour to the Dragon Gate in Western Hills, then visit Bird & Flower market. Transfer to the airport for your departure, end of service.(B+L)

Western Hills: Located at the west bank of the Dianchi Lake, is set in mountains well covered by evergreen woods and filled with sweet songs by lovely birds, perfect for hiking. Dragon Gate consists of the Sanqing Temple Complex and the Dragon Gate Grotto Complex.

Note: The private guided tour is tailored for you exclusively. No other participants will be in your group and you will not take part into any tours of others on land services.
 
Quotation Inclusions:

1. Hotel accommodation
The hotel is based on two persons sharing one twin or double standard room with private facilities.
2. Meals
Daily American or Chinese breakfast at the hotel, Chinese lunch and dinner in local Chinese restaurant as specified in the itinerary. B - Breakfast, L - Lunch, D - Dinner.
3. Private Transport
Private transport between airport or railway station and hotel and all the sights by air-conditioned vehicle.
4. Transportation between Cities
The economic class air tickets of the domestic flight or soft berth/seat train tickets between cities as specified in the itinerary.
5. Entrance tickets
The main entrance tickets for the sights mentioned.
6. Guiding service
Excellent tour Guiding. All normal sightseeing tours in each city with English-speaking guide and admission fees where applicable. Our guide will not fly with you from one city to another. Upon your arrival at each city, a new local guide and driver will pick you up, be with you for local tour and see you off after you finish the itinerary of each city.
7. Insurance
China Life Tourist Accident / Casualty Insurance. We highly recommend that you purchase full coverage travel insurance from you country of origin.

1. Visa Fees
Charge of obtaining your visa to enter China.
2. Charge of arrival and departure
The international or domestic air / train charge of arrival and departure.
3. Single Room Supplement
Should a twin room is needed by a single guest, supplement of the twin room will be charged.
What is single supplement? - The hotel is based on double occupancy. If the visitor travels alone or the number of the travelers is odd (such as 3, 5, 7...), who stays in one single room has to pay the single room supplement. As the hotel is on double occupancy.
4. Personal Expenses
Expenses of a personal nature such as laundry, drinks, fax, telephone call, optional activities or sightseeing, overweight baggage charges or meals not indicated, ect.
5. Optional Programs
Optional programs which are not specified in the above itinerary.
6. Tips to guides and drivers
Suggested tips: USD12-14 to tour guide per day, USD 8-12 to driver per day, but depending on their service, it's up to you, entirely voluntary.
