Tour Itinerary

Day 01 Arrival in Kunming
Upon your arrival, our guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Tour to the Dragon Gate in Western Hills, then visit the Grand-view Park.

Western Hills: Located at the west bank of the Dianchi Lake, is set in mountains well covered by evergreen woods and filled with sweet songs by lovely birds, perfect for hiking. Dragon Gate consists of the Sanqing Temple Complex and the Dragon Gate Grotto Complex.
Grand-view Park: A beautiful lake-side park that was completed in 1690 during the Qing Dynasty, known for its longest antithetical couplet in China.

Day 02 Kunming - Stone Forest - Kunming
After breakfast, drive 90 KM to Lunan county to visit the Stone Forest. Back to Kunming in the afternoon. Visit the Golden Temple. (B+L)

Stone Forest: The most remarkable natural phenomena. It consists of innumerable bizarre shaped ancient limestone cliffs and peaks created by wind and water erosion some 270 million years ago.
Golden Temple: A Daoist temple, the main building of which is cast entirely in bronze weighing about 280 tons.

Day 03 Kunming - Dali
Take morning flight to Dali. Have a cruise in the Erhai Lake, on the boat, you'll enjoy the unique Three-course-tea of local ethnic Bai people and their dancing and singing performance.
In the afternoon, visit Bai people's Tie Dying Cloth with Wax, villages of Bai People with traditional architecture courtyard in Xizhou Township, the Three Pagodas in the Chong Sheng Temple and Dali Ancient City. (B+L)

Erhai Lake: One of the seven biggest fresh water lakes in China and the largest highland lake next to Dianchi Lake (in Kunming). So it was called "Plateau Pearl". The dimension is 41.5 km. by 6.9 km. The total storage capacity is 3 billion cubic metres and its elevation 1,972 metres.
Bai people: The Bai people have a long history and well-developed culture. 80% of the population of 1.39 million live in the Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture around the Erhai Lake with exquisite scenery. The Bai people have their own spoden language but do not have a written one.
Three Pagodas: Between Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake, the Three Pagodas stand like the legs of a huge tripod. In the time of Nanzhao and Dali Kingdoms, Chongshengsi Monastery was the largest monastery in this area and the Three Pagodas were only a part of it.
Dali Ancient City: A historically and culturally famous city of China, is renowned for her historical interest, and an important pass of the ancient "Silk Route of the South".

Day 04 Dali - Lijiang
Drive 3.5 hours to Lijiang. Visit the Black Dragon Pool in Yuquan Park and Lijiang Ancient Town. (B+L)

Black Dragon Pool: As the water is as green and lucid as jade, the pond is also entitled "Yuquan" or Jade Fountain. On the bank of the pond willows hang their withes like silk thread. One can see arbours and pavilions beside the pond, temples hidden in the trees and variegated flowers found everywhere.
Lijiang Ancient Town: The county town of Lijiang is also called Dayanzhen, famous for its scientific architectural layout. Crisscrossed by crystal-clear rivers and meandering cobbled streets, it has a high research value and is a treasure in the field of urban construction in China.

Day 05 Lijiang
Visit the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, the Baisha Murals and the Ancient Shuhe Village of Naxi People. (B+L)

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain: The much famed mountain is situated some 15 km. north of Lijiang County, with thirteen peaks resembling jade pillars holding the sky, it stands majestically on the east side of the Jinshajiang River. The main peak, Mount Fan (Shanzifeng), is 5,596 m. above sea level, and is annually snowcapped.
Baisha Murals: Lijiang's murals are works of the Ming Dynasty, chiefly created from the Hongwu to the Wanli eras. They were originally distributed among the Juexiansi Temple and twelve others, nine of which fell to ruins. The remaining four temples have altogether 55 murals, with a total area of 139.22 sq. m.
Naxi people: Naxi literature is rich in form and content. Besides works by Naxi scholars and writers, there is a repository of oral folk literature.

Day 06 Lijiang - Kunming - Departure
Take morning flight to Kunming. Connect flight for your departure, end of service. (B+L)

Note: The private guided tour is tailored for you exclusively. No other participants will be in your group and you will not take part into any tours of others on land services.
 
Quotation Inclusions:

1. Hotel accommodation
The hotel is based on two persons sharing one twin or double standard room with private facilities.
2. Meals
Daily American or Chinese breakfast at the hotel, Chinese lunch and dinner in local Chinese restaurant as specified in the itinerary. B - Breakfast, L - Lunch, D - Dinner.
3. Private Transport
Private transport between airport or railway station and hotel and all the sights by air-conditioned vehicle.
4. Transportation between Cities
The economic class air tickets of the domestic flight or soft berth/seat train tickets between cities as specified in the itinerary.
5. Entrance tickets
The main entrance tickets for the sights mentioned.
6. Guiding service
Excellent tour Guiding. All normal sightseeing tours in each city with English-speaking guide and admission fees where applicable. Our guide will not fly with you from one city to another. Upon your arrival at each city, a new local guide and driver will pick you up, be with you for local tour and see you off after you finish the itinerary of each city. The cruise shore excursion is in-group assigned by the cruise company.
7. Insurance
China Life Tourist Accident/Casualty Insurance. We highly recommend that you purchase full coverage travel insurance from you country of origin.

1. Visa Fees
Charge of obtaining your visa to enter China.
2. Charge of arrival and departure
The international or domestic air / train charge of arrival and departure.
3. Single Room Supplement
Should a twin room is needed by a single guest, supplement of the twin room will be charged.
What is single supplement? - The hotel is based on double occupancy. If the visitor travels alone or the number of the travelers is odd (such as 3, 5, 7...), who stays in one single room has to pay the single room supplement. As the hotel is on double occupancy.
4. Personal Expenses
Expenses of a personal nature such as laundry, drinks, fax, telephone call, optional activities or sightseeing, overweight baggage charges or meals not indicated, ect.
5. Optional Programs
Optional programs which are not specified in the above itinerary.
6. Tips to guides and drivers
Suggested tips: USD12-14 to tour guide per day, USD 8-12 to driver per day, but depending on their service, it's up to you, entirely voluntary.
